There is Chardonnay and then there is FFC Director’s Cut Chardonnay! I frequent a certain restaurant weekly and always select this Chardonnay to have with my Seared Ahi, pear, pecan mixed with field greens salad.
Immediately you know you love it. The aromatic florals are immediate without being over the top. When I tasted it for the first time, I was taken. I wanted others at my table to experience the taste yet I didn’t want to waste a drop 🙂 Yes, I’m like that when I find something I love.
Getting down to the business of why you will hoard this wine too, the vintner, Corey Beck ages it in new French Oak barrels and they definitely lend a soft flavor. I like how they also achieved a variety of flavors without pushing the fruit flavors in particular. There’s a bit of sassy spice like a period on the end of a sentence. It’s clean, full bodied and has an excellent finish. That could be why I don’t have any more in my glass right now. Highly recommend. Stock up! Cheers All.
