Its a warm night in So. Cal. and Pasta alla Carbonara on the menu. With it I opened a 2008 Santa Alicia Reserva Carmenere from the Maipo Valley. It starts with a mild almost floral fragrance. On to the tasting. It offers up mild tannins, spices and a very smooth memorable dark cacao finish. Great! We have a hit. This wine really compliments the pancetta in the pasta. It was also a nice surprise that the berries are more savory than sweet. A very pleasant memorable wine that I would recommend.

I am a fan of Carmenere, and I’d love to give this one a try!
From your Website, I didn’t find how I can participate in wine tasting sessions, and where to order the wine from. Could you provide more details?
Hi,
