I love the expression of my friends when I mention Viognier when I suggest they try a new varietal. I still love Rosenblum’s Kathy’s Cuvee Viognier. Aside from perfection I continue to search for others to recommend.
I just tasted Castoro Cellars 2008 Viognier and find it to be mild in flavor, less depth than many others. Not a bad wine for daily use but still searching for a Viognier to recommend.
Condrieu in France is famous for its Viognier: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condrieu_AOC
Not sure if it is easy to find in the US though…
Come taste our Viognier at Goosecross, I can tell you it’s a good one and people say they love it. Couldn’t resist responding to your search for great Viognier. ๐
Hi Colleen,
Thanks for the invite, I will try your Viognier ๐ Do you know if Goosecross plans to sell the Viognier to http://www.tastingroom.com for a tasting sample? I actually picked up the Goosecross Chardonnay when I bought some tasting size bottles from http://www.tastingroom.com.
All the best,
Chris
